Rental Policies and Procedures

Inflatables and all other Equipment

  • The lessee acknowledges that use of equipment may involve inherently dangerous activities. Lessee further acknowledges understanding that risk of serious injury from participating in inflatable activities, although minimal, does exist. Risks include, but are not limited to all breakable bones, pulled muscles, pulled joints in body, pulled tendons, scraps, scratches, bumps, bruises, physical injury, emotional injury, distress, paralysis and even death.
  • An adult 18 years of age or older must be present at all times to be the Operator / Attendant.
  • A trained staff member can be present to supervise for $20hr. (see fees)
  • Only Children age 6 years of age and older should use any of Jumpin Joe's Equipment because younger children may not have the proper balance, coordination or strength to safely enjoy our equipment.
  • The safest way to use our equipment is to allow only one child on or in the equipment at a time. If more than one child will be using it, make sure they are about the same age, size and weight.
  • Participants suffering from previous head, back, neck, muscular-skeletal injuries/disabilities/conditions; pregnant; or deemed susceptible to injury from falls, bumps, or bouncing shall be considered non-eligible to participate in unit interaction at any time.
  • As Operator / Attendant should check every Participant carefully for Shoes, jewelry, glasses, face paint, silly string, party-poppers, henna, confetti, makers, foods, gum, smoking and drinks should never be used inside or around equipment as these may permanently stain the unit, for which you are liable. Keep in mind that a sharp object can cause injury risks to all participants and damage equipment. (see fees)
  • Set rules for safe play. Teach children to not roughhouse, tumble, wrestle, dive, or do flips, have them stay away from the entrance or exits and shall not leap from foreign platforms onto equipment, climb on netting or any part of unit not designated for play, and the sides or walls of the equipment. Operator / Attendant must pay attention to the actions to all participants. The energetic kids always want to flips, do somersaults or cartwheels and similar acrobatics, some even wrestling. These can cause serious injuries so the Operator / Attendant must keep an eye on the at all times.
  • No water or other liquid to be poured or sprayed onto the equipment (other than for cleaning purposes) as it causes the surface of inflatables to become slippery, damages soft play, and can result in subsequent bookings being cancelled if the equipment is too wet to be delivered. If equipment is deliberately soaked you will be charged double your hire fee to cover our costs in subsequent cancelled bookings and drying time.
  • All participants on any slide should always go feet first on bottom (butt) to slide down the equipment.
  • No additional toys such as (balls, plastic toys, etc..) shall be brought into equipment unless it’s provided or approved by Jumpin Joes.
  • Participants must be removed from equipment if they can’t follow safety guidelines set forth in this agreement and on safety label on equipment.
  • Participants should be aware that the equipment could be hot to the touch when the equipment is exposed to long periods to sunlight.
  • Absolutely no pets In / On equipment.
  • Safety mats must be positioned at the bottom of the slide.
  • Ensure that mats supplied with the equipment remain where they were positioned during installation.
  • If the inflatable(s) are not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower(s) off at the mains. IMPORTANT: If more than one blower is being run from a single extension lead you must unplug all but one blower before switching back on, plug the remaining blowers in one at a time only when each inflatable or part is fully inflated.
  • In the event of rain please remove children from the inflatable(s) and place a table or similar object over the blower(s) to prevent water from being blown inside the inflatable(s). Do not switch the blower(s) off. Once the rain has stopped, please ensure that the entrance and exit to the inflatable(s) are dried with a towel before children are allowed back on as they become slippery when wet.
  • Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.
  • Should a blower overheat or lose power, immediately remove children from the inflatable and switch the blower off at the mains. It should restart when switched back on again 4 or 10 minutes later. If it does not please inform us on the telephone number above.

  • Equipment shall not be used in inclement weather. Such weather conditions include sustained winds/gusts exceeding 15 mph, thunderstorms, lightning, or precipitation of any form (rain, hail, snow, sleet, etc.). In the event such unforeseen weather conditions arise, units shall be safely evacuated and the blowers disabled (unplugged).
  • At the end of the rental the Operator / Attendant must unplug unit from electric source and keep all Participants / Pets off units when deflated, this could cause tripping hazard, damage to unit or safety hazard to users.
  • As an Operator/ Attendant regularly check equipment for leaks, objects In or around that could be harmful to Participants, any and all equipment that is rented.
  • Water equipment (water slide, dunk tank, foam party, etc..) could have ponding issues In / On or around equipment that could result in drowning or slipping in/on or Around the equipment. All water should be drained off and away from equipment, water should never be around anything electrical (blowers and extension cords etc.). As this could result in electrocution Participants shall be kept away from blower(s) during operation of equipment.
  • Equipment MUST be secured to firm ground at all times in order to prevent “tipping” and subsequent injury. At no time shall equipment be removed from installed location. Our staff members will anchor units properly upon installation. Please leave stakes or sandbags in place. Keep Participants away from these locations due to getting closelined from tie down traps and or tripping hazard from stakes that could cause serious injury.
